Our Story
THE FOUNDER'S STORY
A clear path
At 12, I dreamt of Japan through manga. I wanted to open a coffeeshop filled with Japanese comics, where people could come to read, create, and change the world.
At 20, I packed my backpack and traveled the world to discover the rituals, cultures, and ways of life of global citizens.
These years transformed me. They shaped me.
They left something precious within me: the conviction that there are other ways to live.
At 27, I settled down and opened my own establishment: a living space that I have managed for 4 years in Lyon.
Building, working, creating — sometimes to the point of forgetting myself.
And at 30, I realized that these three versions of me were never separate:
Charlotte, curious about Japan,
Charlotte, the explorer who absorbs cultures and keeps the best from each encounter,
and Charlotte, the hard worker who gives her all to her projects…
They naturally led me to an obvious conclusion:
to create my own matcha brand.
THE FOUNDER'S STORY
When everything spiraled
I used to drink up to 7 coffees a day.
And yet… I felt more and more tired.
Mentally. Psychologically exhausted.
Every month, I'd add one more coffee.
I was irritable, nervous, in a permanent crash.
Until the day I decided to look for an alternative. I remembered a drink I had tried a few years earlier in Asia during a trip.
Within a few days, I felt the difference. My stress decreased.
I felt serene. Untouchable. Focused.
I was once again performing well in my projects, concentrated, aligned.
And that's when I fell in love with the product. It wasn't just a trend. It was a superfood.
THE FOUNDER'S STORY
Supramatcha was born
At 30, you no longer necessarily identify with the same codes as at 20. You evolve. You assert yourself. You embrace more of who you are and what you want to embody.
I saw the world of matcha as very "clean girl," very polished. And I totally respect that aesthetic. But it wasn't me. I didn't find myself in that constant gentleness, in those perfect, almost sterilized images.
My life isn't pastel or perfect. It's fast-paced. Urban. Intense. It's made of meetings, decisions, responsibilities, creativity, sometimes short nights, and big ambitions.
I didn't want a brand that gives the impression you need to slow down. I wanted a brand that supports those who move fast, who build, who lead projects, and who need a clear mind to last in the long run.
Halfway between Japanese tradition and European life. It's also a natural consequence of our time: cultures circulate, meet, influence each other, and become richer.
I find that profoundly beautiful. This blend, this dialogue, this ability to respect ancestral know-how while integrating it into a modern, urban life. That's the beauty of our century: a world where cultures don't oppose each other, they respond to each other.

Our Vision
Our vision is simple: to raise the standard. "Supra" is not a word chosen at random; it's a guiding principle. Superior in our demands, in our selection, in our way of working. We uphold a clear ethic: respect for producers, respect for traditional methods, respect for the product.
